Screenprinting our wallpaper
February 26 2008 – Julie Marabelle

Sorry I haven't been posting photos for a while. I have been very busy sorting out our new collection.
I wanted to share with you some photos to show you how we screenprint our wallpaper. (we did the same process for all our cushions and fabric).
40m rolls of wallpaper are lay down on this very long table. The screen is placed on top of the wallpaper (or fabric). Two persons on both sides of the table drag the ink from one side to the other with a "squeegee" (like a rubber blade). This pushes the ink through the mesh onto the fabric.
This is the silk screen where the artwork has been transfered in negative.
All the screens are stored on both sides of the table.
This are some color sample that we did prior to printing the 40 m rolls.
Some close up of the print onto the wallpaper.
