Kangaroos!
October 29 2008 – Julie Marabelle

Ophelia was very excited today. After 4 days of driving down the coast we have finally seen these lovely creatures. We are staying in Pambula, on the Sapphire coast, camping on the beach side. The kangaroos run freely around us eating the grass and coming close to the camping-car. They are very friendly and seeing 'le petit bebe dedans' as Ophelia says talking about the little Joey was very special. We also went for a walk on the beach and saw a whale jumping out of the water. It's the whales migrating season at the moment and you get to see lots of them around this area.

La photo d’Ophelia est juste splendide. Ma fille Louna a le même chemisier, isnt’it funny ? Beautiful blog.
you’re lucky to have been there when you were little. We loved Pambula’s beach so much that we ended up staying there for 3 days. Waking up in front of the beach and watching the kangaroos all day was brilliant!
How fantastic. I took my first holiday to Pambula around the same age that Ophelia is and it remains a very special place to me. Enjoy.
oh I’m a little afraid of Kangaroos. They can be a little temperamental, and I just don’t trust them. Once I was bitten and it also happened to my son when he was 2. Just a little nip to give us a warning. Enjoy your trip down south. Melbourne is a fun place. Ride a tram to the zoo or museum. So much to see in Victoria too. sorry if I posted more than once before, I hit the back button too many times. whoops. i’ll leave you in peace now, but will come back to see how your adventures are going.
Wow, happy for Ophelia! I like the photo of the kangaroo with a baby in her pocket, too. The image of mother kangaroo is so deeply printed in our mind, so I tend to think I have seen it myself before, but seeing your photo, I thought I haven’t seen it yet.
