About Famille Summerbelle

Famille Summerbelle is Julie (designer and creative director) and Simon (all the other stuff) and we are the proud parents of Ophelia. We are a relatively new family and a very new business.

The name Summerbelle is an amalgam of our two family names and the French ‘Famille’ is just a simple but meaningful nod to Julie’s nationality!

What matters more is what we are trying to achieve. Our designs and accessories are created to achieve a delicate balance in decorating a child’s room: an inspiring and reassuring space for the child which retains the creative, elegant warmth that we try to achieve throughout our homes. A room for everyone.

In our family we like being together and we share our space. Every room has a different feel but every room is for sharing. In our daughter’s room we gather in the morning, we play in the afternoon and we relax before bedtime. Friends and relatives sleep there and we all go in to look at the family photos.

Beyond that, it is also our daughter’s personal space. Where she learns, hides, relaxes, screams, sleeps and snores.

For her and now for everyone else, we are creating designs and accessories that help interaction and separation, sociability and privacy.
